Readiness Assessment
This is the decision lesson. Not the celebration lesson — that’s tomorrow. Today is about looking at the data you’ve gathered and making an honest call.
The Data You Have
Over the past several lessons, you’ve collected a lot of information:
- Area-by-area ratings from Lesson 91
- Integration assessment from Lesson 92
- Actual expansion measurements from Lesson 93
- Gap analysis from Lesson 94
- Gap resolution results from Lesson 95
- Formal completion checklists from Lessons 96-97
- Level 8 readiness preview from Lesson 98
That’s enough data to make a real decision. Not a guess, not a hope, not a “probably.” A decision based on evidence.
The 80% Standard
Level 7 complete means 80% or above on the completion checklist. That’s the bar.
Why 80% and not 100%? Because perfection isn’t the standard. Functionality is. An 80% completion means the Level 7 system is running. It’s operational. It works in daily life. There are rough edges, sure, but the core is solid.
Below 80%, something fundamental isn’t in place yet. It might be one area that’s significantly underdeveloped. It might be integration that hasn’t happened. Whatever it is, proceeding to Level 8 without it means building on an incomplete foundation.
Three Possible Outcomes
Outcome 1: Ready to proceed (80%+). Level 7 is functionally complete. You’ve expanded. You’re taking risks. Your goals are bigger. You handle adversity differently. You operate as cause. You’re flexible. The system works. Not perfectly — but it works.
If this is you: identify what you’ll continue to develop as ongoing practice, set a date to begin Level 8, and move to tomorrow’s completion lesson.
Outcome 2: Close but not there (60-79%). You’ve done real work and made real progress. But there are specific areas that aren’t operational yet. Maybe creator position is shaky. Maybe risk-taking is still theoretical. Maybe the flexibility work needs another round.
If this is you: identify the 2-3 specific items that would push you over 80%. Create a 2-week plan to address them. Work those items. Then reassess. Don’t rush it, but don’t stall either.
Outcome 3: Significant work remaining (below 60%). This isn’t failure. Some people need to go through material multiple times for it to land. Some people have deeper layers that take longer to work through. Some people didn’t have the time or space to do the work while moving through the lessons.
If this is you: identify which unit had the biggest gap. Go back and redo that unit’s exercises. Take your time. Level 7 is the platform for everything that follows. It’s worth getting right.
The Honesty Check
There are two kinds of dishonesty that show up at this stage.
Premature completion. “I’m ready, let’s move on.” When you’re not at 80%, but you’re tired of Level 7 and want to feel like you’ve finished something. The temptation to round up, to count partial as yes, to declare victory before the war is won.
This is understandable. Level 7 is a lot of work. But rushing past it doesn’t save time. It costs time. Because everything you skip here will come back in Level 8, harder and more entangled.
Permanent studentism. “I need more work. I’m not ready yet.” When you ARE at 80% but the idea of calling it complete and moving on is frightening. Because as long as you’re still working on Level 7, you don’t have to face what comes next. Preparation becomes procrastination.
This one’s harder to spot because it looks like humility. “I just want to make sure I’m really ready.” But readiness isn’t a feeling. It’s a number. If you’re at 80%+ on the checklist, you’re ready. The discomfort you’re feeling isn’t unreadiness — it’s the edge of your capacity. That’s exactly where you should be.
Today’s Practice
Final assessment.
Pull up your checklist scores from Lessons 96-97. Review the gap work from Lesson 95. Factor in any changes since then.
Calculate your final completion percentage. Write it down.
Then make the decision:
If 80%+: Write what you’ll continue developing as ongoing practice. Write the date you’ll begin Level 8. Move to tomorrow’s lesson.
If below 80%: Write specifically what needs to happen to get there. Create a timeline. Put it on the calendar. When you’ve addressed those items, return to this lesson and reassess.
Either way, write the decision. Not a vague feeling about readiness. A decision with a number attached and a next step scheduled.
