Overview

Jupiter opposite Midheaven in synastry puts one partner's natal Jupiter on the other partner's Imum Coeli, the bottom of the chart, because the degree 180 degrees from a Midheaven is the IC by definition in every house system in use. The Jupiter person enlarges the Midheaven person's private base, and the career moves because the ground under it moved. Most practitioners work the contact at 5 to 8 degrees of orb.

Readings of this aspect almost always open at the career end, and the career effects are real. They arrive secondhand.
