This Week's Guidance
Oct 19 — 25, 2026
A week that builds to Sunday's full moon. Listen early, call something finished on Tuesday, go quiet Thursday, watch your temper Friday, and spend Saturday with the people you love.
This week builds toward a full moon on Sunday, and it gets fuller and a little louder as it goes. Expect more energy than last week, more people wanting your time, and lighter sleep near the end. Sleep researchers have found that people tend to fall asleep later and sleep less in the few nights before a full moon. If Thursday and Friday nights feel restless, that is probably why, and it passes.
Monday and Tuesday are for taking things in. Read the thing you have been saving, ask the question you have been sitting on, let someone finish their sentence. You will learn more by listening early in the week than by pushing. Tuesday also has a finishing quality to it. If something has dragged on for weeks, a project or a hard stretch at home, Tuesday is a good day to call it done, even if done means good enough.
Wednesday picks up. It is a sociable day with a good rhythm to it, the kind where music helps, cooking for people is easy, and a group can actually agree on something. If you are up before dawn, the Orionid meteor shower peaks that morning, and the moon will have set by then.
Thursday pulls the other way. A lot of people will want to be left alone, and it is a good day to let them, yourself included. Quiet work, a walk by yourself, an early night. If someone goes quiet on you Thursday, don't take it personally.
Friday is the one to watch. It runs hot. Opinions get strong, small things feel big, and it is easy to sign up for something sweeping or say something you will want to take back. Put that intensity into one hard task. Wait until Saturday to answer anything that made you angry.
Saturday is the best day of the week for the people you love. It is calm and steady, good for a long conversation, a slow meal, a problem you finally talk through together.
Sunday is the full moon. Eat well, rest, and go outside after dark if the sky is clear. After the week you just had, an easy evening is the right call.
Call it done, then let yourself rest.
Evening Deep Rest
Fifteen minutes each evening this week, sometime after dinner and before screens take over the night. Lie on your back on the floor or the bed with a pillow under your knees.
Cover yourself with a blanket, since your body cools as it relaxes. Close your eyes. Take three slow breaths, longer out than in.
Then move your attention slowly through your body without changing anything: right hand, each finger, wrist, forearm, elbow, upper arm, shoulder. Then the left side.
Then feet, legs, hips, belly, chest, back, neck, face. Just notice each part for a moment and move on. When you reach the top of your head, notice your whole body lying there at once.
Stay with that for a few minutes.
If you fall asleep, that is fine. Tuesday, before you start, name one thing you are calling finished. Thursday and Friday, when sleep tends to run lighter, do it in bed with the lights already off and let it carry you into sleep. Sunday, if the sky is clear, spend five minutes outside first, looking at the full moon, then come in and lie down. The week gets fuller as it goes.
Fifteen minutes of doing nothing on purpose each evening keeps the fullness from following you to bed.

This Week's Seasonal Theme
Late October. Mornings are cold now and the afternoons have stopped pretending it is still summer. It is dark by half past six. The body is in the middle of a handoff: some of the summer's heat is still working its way out (a short temper late in the day, sour stomach, skin that itches), and at the same time the air is getting drier, so lips crack and joints feel stiff in the morning. Meet both. Keep meals warm, cooked, and a little sweet: rice, oats, squash, sweet potatoes, cooked pears and apples, soups with plenty of broth. Add a spoonful of butter or olive oil to vegetables. Go easy on hot sauce, coffee on an empty stomach, and drinks late at night. Rub a little oil into dry skin after a shower. Get outside in the late-afternoon light while it is still warm enough to enjoy.
Where This Comes From
This week's guidance draws from the lunar journey across seven nakshatras, the seasonal transition, and cross-tradition patterns that align with the week's themes.
Season: Sharad (Autumn). The body is in transition — late october.
