Neptune Conjunct Midheaven

Overview

Neptune conjunct Midheaven in synastry puts one person's natal Neptune on the other person's Midheaven, the degree culminating on the meridian at birth and the chart's marker for vocation, reputation, and the direction a life is visibly headed. The Neptune person's effect lands on how the Midheaven person is perceived, and on what the Midheaven person comes to believe their work is for, rather than on the work itself. Most practitioners run this conjunction at 5 to 8 degrees of orb.

Neptune takes about 165 years to circle the zodiac, close to fourteen years to cross a sign, and a bit over two degrees of net motion in a year once its five-month annual retrograde is subtracted. That arithmetic has a consequence most readings of this contact skip.
