Jupiter Trine Ascendant

Overview

Jupiter trine Ascendant in synastry is a 120-degree angle between one person's natal Jupiter and the other person's rising degree, and it reads as instant recognition. The Ascendant person tends to feel taller, looser, and more visible in the Jupiter person's company, often inside the first few minutes of meeting. The Jupiter person tends to like what they're looking at before they know anything about it.

The Ascendant isn't a planet, and that changes what this contact can promise. It's the degree of the ecliptic climbing over the eastern horizon at the moment of birth, an intersection of two planes rather than a body moving through space. It shifts about one degree every four minutes of clock time.
