Overview

Jupiter opposite Ascendant in synastry places one partner's natal Jupiter within orb of the other partner's Descendant, because the degree 180 degrees from a rising degree is the setting degree by definition, in every house system. The Jupiter person shows up already standing in the seat the Ascendant person reserves for a partner, and gets recognized fast, usually before there is anything to recognize.

The Ascendant is not a planet.
