The 10 Sefirot

Divine attributes on the Tree of Life — ten emanations through which the infinite becomes the finite.

10 sefirot

The Sefirot are ten emanations through which Ein Sof (the Infinite) becomes knowable. Arranged on the Tree of Life in three pillars — Mercy, Balance, and Severity — they map the structure of divine consciousness, the architecture of creation, and the anatomy of the human soul. Each sefirah is not a separate entity but an aspect of a single divine process, like light refracted through a prism.

The Hidden Sefirah

Da'at (Knowledge) is called the "non-sefirah" — a point on the Tree that emerges where Chokhmah and Binah unite. It is not counted among the ten but occupies the position of the Abyss between the supernal and lower sefirot.

The Three Pillars

Right Pillar

Chesed (Mercy)

Expansion, giving, masculine force. Chokhmah, Chesed, Netzach.

Middle Pillar

Equilibrium

Balance, integration, the axis of consciousness. Keter, Tiferet, Yesod, Malkhut.

Left Pillar

Gevurah (Severity)

Restraint, form, feminine force. Binah, Gevurah, Hod.
