Most people think clarity is something you have to earn through long reflection. Sometimes it is. But more often, clarity is something that arrives on its own and then gets argued away. You wake up knowing something, and by noon you have talked yourself out of it. Not because the knowing was wrong — because acting on it would require change, and change is uncomfortable.
Today is one of those days where the knowing arrives early and stays sharp. There is a quality to days like this — a crispness in your thinking, a lower tolerance for ambiguity. Things that you have been on the fence about suddenly look obvious. The answer was always there. You were just giving yourself permission not to see it.
The traditions that track these patterns — and there are dozens of them — all recognize days of cutting. Not destruction. Cutting. There is a difference. Destruction is chaotic, indiscriminate, driven by frustration. Cutting is precise. A surgeon cutting away damaged tissue. A gardener pruning dead branches not because they hate the branch but because the tree needs the energy elsewhere. Agni in the Vedic tradition is not mindless fire — it is the fire of discernment, the flame that separates what is essential from what is waste. The Sun, which governs today's stellar backdrop, does the same thing every morning: it arrives, and everything that hid in the dark becomes visible. You do not have to go looking. You just have to stop closing your eyes.

Breathe Sit upright. Take a normal breath in, then exhale sharply through the nose, pulling your belly in. Let the inhale happen naturally. Repeat 20 times. Rest. Do three rounds. This clears mental fog and wakes up your core.
Sit Light a candle and stare at the flame without blinking for as long as comfortable. When your eyes water, close them and watch the afterimage. Repeat for 5 minutes. This sharpens concentration and calms scattered thinking.
Avoid Spring is already building heaviness in the body. Adding more — rich cheese, deep-fried anything, a two-hour afternoon nap — will make you feel sluggish and dull exactly when the day is offering you sharpness.
